Japanese Tea Ceremony

time: From 11:00 to 15:00
date: 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th of Sept 2021

During a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, also known as ‘The Way of Tea’, participants relax their body and mind through slow and ritualised movements, and then drink tea to be reminded of the joys in life.

This particular state of forced mindfulness was developed by Japanese warlords and monks as a way of settling the mind and de-stressing the body during times of uncertainty and conflict.

Your hostess has spent many years being trained to facilitate that same relaxation and feeling of being in nature, with peace and welcoming.

During the ceremony at Le Lake Retreat, you are not only offered tea and sweets but also honour, appreciation and care.

Price:

  • $99/pax including a tea ceremony, lunch box (bento style and sake), and entry into the beautiful grounds of the retreat (total 3-4 hours).
  • Kimono renting service: $15/hour.

Note:

  • Suitable for Adults 18+
  • Only available when booking online in advance.
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
